Since coding is and will continue to be used to solve many of the world’s problems, this year, we are introducing the design round! This completely optional round will ask participants to create an application or website that addresses the prompt given and to submit a concept sketch and brief explanation of their product. No coding is required; we are more interested in seeing your innovative and creative ideas! Those who choose to submit a design will be given the option to have their submission shared on our website and will receive additional merch.
Problems: 1
Time: 4 hours
Submission: Concept sketch or wireframe
Platform: Google forms submission
The programming round will test your problem solving, logical reasoning, and coding skills. This part of the competition will be used to determine prize winners. As with last year, we will have two divisions, beginner and intermediate; you can view the guide if you need help determining which division to sign up for. We will be accepting any programming language, but the solutions we provide will be in Python or Java.
